Kaolin is at 4/33 Maddox Street, Alexandria.
33 Maddox Street is a business park; Kaolin is showroom number 4 (painted with a large 4 on it). From the street, come into the carpark and you’ll see the showroom on the left side.

Parking: Plenty of parking at the venue and on Maddox Street, free on Sunday
Is the venue accessible?
There is accessible parking immediately outside the venue, however we regret that there is no accessible toilet onsite, and the bar/lounge area is raised, which means we cannot accommodate wheelchair users in this area.
Is there food available?
There is no food available onsite. You are welcome to bring your own snacks, so long as they do not interfere with the quiet enjoyment of the space (no pungent food).

About the Day
The General Admission ticket time says 8.30am to 5pm, do I have to arrive at 8.30am?
Doors open at 8.30am but you can drop in any time until we close at 5pm.
What do I do when I arrive?
Check in with our concierge, who will give you a token for your welcome tea at the bar. You can then head to the bar/lounge area to have tea.
If you have booked an add-on session, the concierge can show you the session area so you know where to go when it’s time.
When are the free tea appreciation sessions?
There’ll be one at 10.30–11am and another at 2–2.30pm at the bar, led by Cathy Zhang.
What happens at the bowl tea ceremony/meditation sessions?
If you are hosted by Cenk, Lulu or Po-Tien, your session will be conducted on the floor. There will be a rug laid out and cushions provided. If you cannot sit on the floor, do let us know and we can provide other support.
The host will guide you through the session, prepare the tea and indicate when to drink.
We recommend:
- Having a solid meal within 90 minutes beforehand, or a snack just ahead of your session.
- Wearing comfortable clothing that will allow you to sit on the floor. You are welcome to remove your shoes.
- Avoiding strong scents, including deodorant, perfume, smoking, vaping and eating pungent foods.
Can I take photos?
Yes, but please be mindful of other attendees. The hosts are happy for you to take photos of them as long as it does not disrupt the session. To get the most from Deep Tea, we recommend limiting photos to before or after your session. Ask permission if you are photographing someone you don’t know.
We will have a photographer onsite taking photos periodically; please indicate at check-in if you are not comfortable being photographed.
What happens if I’m late to my session?
You are still permitted to join your session. One of our team will lead you to the area where you can discreetly join your group.
